John Richardson Milam, born 20 October 1844, Warren County, Kentucky.

He married 24 November 1868, Mesouri E. "Susan" Morgan, Warren, Kentucky. She was born 8 October 1850 at Warren County, the daughter of Levi B. Morgan and Elizabeth Ann Carter. John R. was in the Civil War, and served in the same company as his father. Discharged 3 July 1862 at Nashville, Tennessee, due to "immature age and general debility from fever." Enlisted 23 December 1861, 18 years old. He was a farmer.

Their children were: William Commodore; Elizabeth A.; Levi Buchanon; Casandra Victoria; Eliza Dove; John Henry; Shedric Adirson; Juliette Catherine; Bertha Lottie; Elbert C.; Pete Erbert and Minerva Exona ("Mernie") Milam.

John R. died 6 January 1910, Warren County, Kentucky. Mesouri E. died 6 October 1921, Warren County. John and Mesouri were buried at Riverside Cemetery, Warren, Kentucky.
