Caroline Matilda Cherry was born 22 April 1846, Greencastle, Warren, Kentucky. Married 27 December 1861, Benjamin Price Stahl, near Bowling Green, Warren, Kentucky. Benjamin Price Stahl was born 20 June 1834 at Simpson County, Kentucky. He was the son of Isaac Stahl and Elizabeth Perkins. The wedding ceremony was conducted by Rev. William Sublett, Presbyterian minister of the Lebanon Presbyterian Church.

Benjamin Price Stahl was a Civil War Soldier (Union), and was hospitalized several times with severe illness before he could come home.

Caroline Matilda and Benjamin Price Stahl's children were: Joseph who died young; Mollie F.; Calvin; Rhoda; Andrew J.; Benjamin J.; Jesse; Lina and Mack Daniel Stahl.

Caroline Matilda Cherry Stahl died 1 January 1948, aged 101 years, at Browning Community, Warren, Kentucky. Benjamin Price Stahl died 28 June 1900, Warren County. Both were buried at Halls Chapel Cemetery, Warren, Kentucky.
