Harvey J. Lewis Jr. (1916-2001)

Harvey died 19 May 200l at St. Matthews Manor in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He was the son of Mabel Settle & Harvey J. Lewis Sr. and was born 21 Dec 1916 in Green Castle, Warren County, Kentucky.

He was a graduate of Western Kentucky State Teachers College, now Western Kentucky University, and was employed by the Soil Conservation Division of the U.S. Corps of Engineers for over 25 years.

Survivors included four children, 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens East. Harvey's wife is a descendant of Charlotte Taylor White.

The Lewises attended the Taylor Reunion in Kentucky where they took part in the program.
