Allen Taylor, born 17 January 1815, near Richardsville, Warren, Kentucky. He was the son of William Taylor and Elizabeth Patrick. He married (1) 5 September 1833, Sarah Lovisa Allred, at Monroe County, Missouri. He married (2) 1 January 1850, Hannah Egbert, at Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah. He married (3) 26 November 1856, Elizabeth Smith, at Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah. He married (4) 27 March 1857, Phoebe Ann Roberts, at Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah.

Allen came to Utah 15 October 1849, with the Mormon Pioneers. He was the Captain of his, the Allen Taylor Company. On arrival at Salt Lake City, he settled at the mouth of Mill Creek Canyon. He moved to Kaysville, Davis, Utah in 1850. He was chosen L.D.S. Bishop there in 1854. He moved to St. George, Washington, Utah in 1862, and from there to Loa, Wayne, Utah in 1883. He died at Loa 5 December 1891. Allen was buried at the Loa Cemetery, Wayne, Utah.

Sarah Lovisa Allred was born 14 November 1817, Nashville, Bedford, Tennessee. She was the daughter of Isaac Allred and Mary Calvert. She was the mother of 11 children. Sarah L. died 11 March 1879, at New Harmony, Washington, Utah. She was buried at New Harmony.

Allen Taylor and Sarah Lovisa Allred's children were: Isaac Moroni, Mary Elizabeth, William Riley, Sarah Jane, Joseph Allen, Nancy Melvina, Clarissa Elvira, Orissa Angelia, Independence, Jedediah and Lovisa Jennett.

Hannah Egbert, born 27 May 1829, at Carlisle, Sullivan, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of John Egbert and Susana Cardhan. She must have divorced Allen Taylor, because she married (2) 21 September 1874, Joseph Brundage. Hannah died 9 April 1898, at Spanish Fork, Utah, Utah. She and Allen had six children.

The children of Allen Taylor and Hannah Egbert were: John Egbert, Susanna, Liberty, Jeremiah, Ann Crillia and Alfred Allen.

Elizabeth Smith, was born 10 December 1822, at Burbidge, Wiltshire, England. She was the daughter of George Smith and Anna Durdell. She was married to: (1) 20 October 1844, James Bedford. Married (2) 4 November 1855, Thomas Squires, and (3) Allen Taylor. Elizabeth died I January 1891, at Loa, Wayne, Utah. She was buried at the Loa Cemetery. She and Allen had one child together, Anna Durdell.

Phoebe Ann Roberts, born 22 January 1842, at Nauvoo, Hancock, Illinois. She was the daughter of Levi Roberts and Harriet Ann Hefford. She and Allen had 12 children. Phoebe died 20 September 1919, at Loa, Wayne, Utah. She and Allen were both buried at the Loa Cemetery.

The children of Allen Taylor and Phoebe Ann Roberts were: Harriet Ann, Mary Ann, Julia Ellen, Amanda Melvina, Levi Allen, James Henry, Phoebe Velina, Allen Jr., Louisa, Amy, Wilford Woodruff and Matilda.
