Separation Agreement for Etheldred Wallace and his wife Amy Wallacedtd
2 Sep. 1850, which states: "because some unhappy differences
havelately
arisen between Dreddie and Amy, they agreed to live separate and
apartfrom
from each other,..." The agreement was recorded on 5 Apr 1856,
Book19,
p. 420 of the County Deed Book.
Amy Taylor & Etheldred Wallace were probably md at Martin Co,
NC.Marriage
records there have been destroyed.
Info from 1800 Census, NC shows Etheldred Wallace as md and father
ofone
daughter (Martha Agnes).
Note: The early Archive LDS FGS record states that Etheldred
wasmarried to
Temperance Taylor. I can find no proof to substantiate this fact.
Etheldred was definitely married to "Amy" not Temperance.

Amy and Etheldred are probably buried at a tiny family cemetery
nearHayes Fork
Creek, Stewart, TN, according to descendants. No tombstones there
forthem.

She was married to Etheldred E. WALLACE (Attorney) about 1799 in , of Martin, North Carolina. Etheldred E. WALLACE (Attorney) was born in 1778 in , Martin, North Carolina. He was also known by names of "Dred", "Dreddie" and "Jack". His middle
initial "E." probably stood for Exum, his mother's maiden

Stewart Co, TN, dtd 2 Sep 1850, which said: "because some
unhappydifferences
have lately arisen between Dreddie and Amy, they agreed to
liveseparate and
apart from each other. Dreddie provided well for Amy. This
agreementwas
recorded on 5 Apr 1856, in Book 19, p. 420 of the Stewart County
DeedBook.
It is believed Etheldred and Amy were buried on Hayes Fork Creek
inthe
graveyard across the Creek from the Fay Wallace house. No markers
areevident.
Note: Etheldred was named the "trusty friend" of Joseph Taylor,
Jr.on 2 May
1809, when Joseph, Jr. gave him his Power of Attorney to collect
adebt owing
him in Edgecombe Co, N.C.
Etheldred was also a grain mill builder and a good
fiddler,according to his
descendant, Edgar Wallace, Riverside, CA. His death date also
fromEdgar's
family records. Amy TAYLOR and Etheldred E. WALLACE (Attorney) had the following children:
