"FUNERAL SERVICES OF MR. LAMASTERS CONDUCTED TODAY--
Died Sunday Evening at His Home Near Riverside, This County--
Born in Warren County--
Oscar La Masters, well-known Warren county farmer, died
Sundayevening at
7:10 o'clock at his home near Riverside, after several months
illness.Funeral
services were held this afternoon at 2 o'clock by the Rev.
JohnRichards at
Riverside church. Burial followed in the Riverside graveyard.
Mr. La Masters was born in Warren county in 1858 and spent all
ofhis life
here. He was one of the most prominent farmers of the county and
aman with a
large number of friends. He was married to Miss Eddie Edens about
38years
ago, who died 14 years before the death of her husband.
Seven children survive Mr. La Masters. His three sons,
Arthur,Gilbert and
Murley (Burley) La Masters, live in Lancaster and his four
daughters,Mrs. R. F.
Simpson, Mrs. J. C. Deweese and Misses Pernie and Bessie La
Masterslive in
this county."

He was an employee of Burford Tobacco Co. for 18 years and was
