sharebelonging to
Tabitha Taylor.

(5) Corres. with John Lynch, Greenville, N.C., desc. of these
N.C.Taylors,
says in his family records that Richard Taylor, (Sr.) was
probablymarried first
to "Gracy"--but this fact hasn't been proven.
(6) Record of Probate Inventory in Edgecombe Co. lists a "John" and
a"Thomas"
as his sons, although they were not listed in the initial list
ofheirs.
(Probably because their father had already given each of them Deeds
ofGift of
property on 17 and 18 Feb 1789, Martin Co.)
The first wife was probably the mother of all of his children, except
Tabitha. So Charlotte was most likely the second wife.
Thisinformation is
not proven, however. Could Charlotte have been a Crisp, since
WhitleyCrisp
named as guardian of her infant child?
