"MRS T. J. McGOWN DIES SATURDAY; SERVICES MONDAY--
Mrs. Nannie White McGown, 87, who for many years prior to
herretirement
operated a boarding house at 1252 State St., died at 6 p.m.
yesterdayat City
County Hospital. She had been ill several months.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the
GerardBradley
Chapel by the Rev. Fred R. Pfisterer, pastor of State Street
MethodistChurch.
Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Mrs. McGown was born at Riverside Sept. 30, 1876, a daughter
ofDavid and
Mollie Neal White. She was married to Thomas J. McGown, who died
Feb.1, 1928.
Surviving are three sons, Neal and John S. McGown, both of
thiscity, and
James R. McGown, Frankfort; a sister, Mrs. G. N. Clark, city, and five
grandchildren.
She was a member of State Street Methodist Church.
The body is at the funeral chapel."
