There is one land record in Trigg Co, KY for John Wallace, in Book
H,p. 274, a
Mortgage from John Wallace to his older son William Wallace,
sayingJohn
owed William $100. with interest from the 1st day of Sep 1841 and
duethe
6th day of Jan 1843, so John sold William 50 barrels of corn to
begathered and
cribbed, one cow and calf and 15 head of hogs. Witness by son Caswell
Wallace.
Note: According to direct desc. Edgar Wallace of Riverside, CA,
JohnWallace
was probably a blacksmith by trade, as well as a farmer.
It is not known where John Wallace died or when. Some members of
theWallace
family think he and Delilah died abt 1853 in Trigg Co, KY from
thesmallpox in
caring for son Eaton & Milbry Wallace and family who were close by. Delilah
