John,given at
Nauvoo, Ill in 1841 by Patriarch Hyrum Smith, William's middle name
isgiven as
"Warren." Also, on the Harrisville Ward Records for William's son
Pleasant Green Taylor, it says he was confirmed by "W. W. Taylor
June1838."
I presume this means his father William--which could give
anothersource of the
middle name "Warren". The same thing was also listed for
William'sson Joseph
Taylor.
Note: William apparently died of typhoid fever on his way to
Nauvoo,Hancock,
IL, on the main road from Lima to Warsaw. He was five miles north
of Lima (Adams Co.) and eight miles south of Warsaw (Hancock Co.)
whenhe died.
(According to P.G. Taylor's History). He was buried on the land
ofCol.
(Levi) Williams, who was an anti-Mormon, and a Col. in the Warsaw
militia, who helped to kill the Prophet Joseph Smith and his
brotherHyrum.

says his father (William Taylor) died and was buried some 25
milessouth of
Nauvoo and about 8 miles southwest of Carthage, and about 5
milessouth of
Warsaw (which) was county seat at that time and there was a
graveyardthere and
about 40 persons were buried there."

He was married to Elizabeth PATRICK on 22 Mar 1811 in , Warren, Kentucky. Elizabeth PATRICK was born on 9 Dec 1793 in , Mecklenberg, Virginia. She died on 25 Oct 1880 in Harrisville, Weber, Utah.
